How You Should Dress to Impress on the First Date
Don’t Wear Wrinkled Clothes
It doesn’t matter whether you are dressing casual or dressing up to meet her, you should not have wrinkles in all your clothes. Your clothes do not have to look like they came straight from the dry cleaners, but they do have to look like you did not just pull them out of the dirty clothes hamper. Simply take some pride in what you are wearing to make a good first impression. If you are worried about the way a certain shirt looks, but you want to wear it, get it slightly damp and toss it in the dryer. The dryer will steam out the wrinkles. Remove the shirt as soon as it is dried and you will have a wrinkle-free shirt to impress her.
She Will Notice Your Shoes
Consider for a second, what kind of shoes you are wearing? You may not see past her chest, but she is going to look at your shoes. Shoes are the ultimate sign to a woman how much you pay attention to details. It does not matter if you are only meeting for a one night stand, she will turn on her heel and leave if she feels you do not have what it takes, and yes your shoes can say bad things about you. Not only should the shoes match the rest of your outfit (casual or dressy), but they should also look fairly new. If your shoes look worn out and tired, she will assume you don’t care what other people think and she will not think highly of you in return.
Do Not Overdress
Some guys make the mistake of overdressing to meet a girl for the first time. You should be dressed for the activities you have planned. If you are meeting to go to a nice restaurant, wearing a suit is appropriate. If you are meeting to go bowling, a suit will look way out of place and you will embarrass her. Not only will she be embarrassed because you are not dressed on the same level as her, but she will be worried about the stares you are going to receive. If you are seriously confused as to what you should wear when you go out, ask her what she is going to wear. You can gauge how you are going to dress dependent on what she is going to wear.
