Like it or not, the coffee shop is a terrible place to meet for a date. There are quite a few things wrong with meeting for a cup of coffee. Sure, you want her to know you are human, but do you want to excuse yourself to go to the bathroom every five minutes because you had too much coffee? Your Friend’s House

If you are just going on your first dates, you do not want to run the risk of her being uncomfortable. This is exactly what will happen if you invite her to go to your friend’s house. She is still just getting to know you and she does not need the added pressure of being welcomed and liked by your friends as well. Save this kind of a date until you have been dating for a while and you are sure that you are actually in a relationship with one another.
