How to Avoid Scams on Married Dating Sites

If you’ve been worried about married online dating scams, you’re not alone. There are a LOT of ways for unsuspecting men to fall into traps online, and we want to help you avoid them.

If you follow our advice by paying attention to the sites we recommend, and the others that we don’t, you will have a great time online. But you must educate yourself.

There’s no reason to be a victim.

You might feel like you’re condemned to fall into scams and traps just because you want to date married people or date while married, and that’s just a risk you’re going to have to take.

This is not true.

There are legitimate married dating sites. When you use these sites, you run a far lower risk of getting caught, because they’re not nearly as cluttered with British private investigators as most of the scam sites you’re going to encounter on your quest to find dates while married.

Trying your luck with married dating sites that haven’t been proven to be worth your time is a fool’s errand. Believe us, we’ve tried them all—and only the legitimate ones will let you find a date without getting you scammed…or worse, exposed.

Yes, there is some risk of exposure.

There’s really no getting around it. If you ever put anything on the Internet, there’s the chance that it can be traced back to you. We’re not saying it’s common, but it could happen. We’d be lying if we said that there was absolutely no chance of getting caught.

One of the UK dating scams you have to watch out for is the fact that there ARE private investigators running around. If you use sites that are specifically for married dating, you do run some small risk of being found out by one of these unscrupulous opportunists.

The private investigator is an opportunist who has rarely been hired before surveillance.

You might think that you’re safe from private investigators because no one is suspicious of you, so they’d have no reason to hire an investigator to find out more about your habits.

While we wish that were true, it’s not exactly the way that this scam works. If you use married dating sites, you’re putting yourself at some risk, whether you fully understand it or not.

One of the dangerous things you have to understand is the fact that most of these investigators are self-employed—and they have little else to do but keep a few dozen (or hundred) men on the hook at one time. The reason they can put the time and effort into this is that it can be incredibly profitable to catch men cheating on their wives.

There are two ways these investigators can make money off of your infidelity. The first is very simple. Sometimes, they will pose as a woman and pretend to get very friendly with you…until they find out your real name and some kind of identification.

Then they will try to blackmail you.

They will convince you that they know exactly how to contact your wife. Be warned—this is only a bluff sometimes. Most of the time, they actually know how to contact your family, and can make life very difficult for you if you don’t give them money.

If that doesn’t work, they can go to your wife.

Some private investigators don’t bother blackmailing husbands, but go instead directly to the wives of the unfaithful husbands. They promise to tell them all about their husband’s infidelity in exchange for a hefty sum of cash.

Look for profiles that seem too good to be true.

Usually, these are women that are just far too attractive to be on a dating site. You’ll know they’re too good to be true, and might be purposely ignoring that little voice telling you so. That’s normal; when we see something that’s too good to be true, we usually want to make ourselves believe that it’s true, even if we know deep down that it’s not.

Most private investigators don’t want to work very hard.

These professionals have dozens of men on the line at any given time. They don’t have to go after men who are smart about keeping their information secret. They go after low-hanging fruit. In this case, that low-hanging fruit is men who are free with their information with strangers.
